With more than 15 years of global academic leadership experience, he has served in key leadership positions, including Dean of the University of New South Wales Business School and Vice Dean at King’s College London.  He is also a leading organizational psychology scholar, recognized through numerous awards and fellowships. 

He earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Finance from Bocconi University before completing his Ph.D. in Financial Economics at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business in 2018. His primary research focuses on financial economics, financial intermediation and banking, sustainable finance, and global supply chains. His scholarly articles have been published in the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Management Science, International Economic Review, and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis.

Prof. Ha received his PhD in Operations Management from Standard University (1992), MBA from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (1988) and BSc in Civil Engineering from The University of Hong Kong (1984). 

Helen is an experienced International Banker with a banking career spanning over 35 years in Hong Kong, Taiwan and New York. She joined Standard Chartered Bank in 1998 and has held several key management positions in Corporate and Institutional Banking and Retail Banking. Helen also spent over seven years in Taiwan as Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking from 2005 to 2012 and was instrumental in the integration and transformation of the business after the acquisition of Hsinchu International Bank. She played a pivotal role in driving major transformation initiatives in Hong Kong such as the Global and Commercial Banking Integration, One Bank Collaboration and Programme Keystone (Core Banking System Upgrade).  

Beyond her business contributions, Helen has also made a lasting impact in the community through her involvement in various community projects, including spearheading the EmpowHER2B collaboration with Social Ventures Hong Kong, which promotes women's empowerment in partnership with a few prominent Hong Kong enterprises. 
Helen has an MBA from Kellogg School of Management. 

Deeply committed to public service, Prof. Ko actively shapes the region's logistics ecosystem. Appointed by the HKSAR Education Bureau, he serves on the Logistics Industry Training Advisory Committee (Convenor of its Promotion and Consultation Sub-Committee) and the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council (Chairman of its Industry Development Sub-Committee). He is also a strategic advisor for the Port Community System, an advisory board member for the HKECIC, and the President of the Hong Kong E-commerce Logistics Association. 

Academically, Prof. Ko holds a BBA, an EMBA, and a Juris Doctor from the City University of Hong Kong, where he is an Adjunct Professor. He also serves on Tsinghua University’s postgraduate advisory board. A Chartered Fellow of CILT, he was recognized as one of Forbes China's Global Top 100 Outstanding Chinese in 2022. 

Ranked a top 3 operations management researcher in terms of research productivity, quality and citations, Kouvelis is one of the most highly cited operations and supply chain management scholars. He has authored or co-authored more than 140 publications in academic journals, which have been cited over 17,000 times. He has also published 11 books and has served in top editorial positions for all the major journals in his field. His outstanding contributions to the field have been recognized with Fellow of POMS Award in 2016, the Distinguished MSOM Fellow Award in 2022, and the INFORMS Fellow Award in 2025. 

Kouvelis served from 2009-2013 as the senior associate dean and director of executive programs at the Olin Business School, and has received numerous teaching awards, including the EMBA Reid Teaching Award in 2003, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2023. Kouvelis earned his doctorate in industrial engineering and engineering management from Stanford University. He earned his master’s degrees in business administration and industrial and systems engineering from the University of Southern California. He also holds a diploma in mechanical engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. 

As Executive Committee member and Board Director at Li & Fung, Ed shapes strategy, leads key transactions, and manages capital allocation for one of the world’s largest supply chain organizations. As former CFO, he steered digital transformation and set new benchmarks for governance and sustainability through volatile global markets. 
Ed sits on the Board of DBS Bank HK, promoting digital innovation and sustainable financial growth. His finance career spans Citi and Morgan Stanley, with deep capital markets expertise and execution of over US$100 billion in M&A, capital markets, and loan transactions across his finance career. He also served on the M&A Takeover Panel of Hong Kong’s SFC. 

Ed’s leadership has earned recognition as “Most Influential Entrepreneur in Hong Kong” and “Best CFO in Asia.”  He supports human capital and social resilience through roles with UNICEF HK and Children’s Cancer Foundation. Ed holds an MBA from Chicago Booth, a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin, Harvard AMP, and is a US CPA. 

Professor Lee’s expertise is in global supply chain management and value chain innovations.  He is also interested in how innovating with the value chain can bring forth economic and welfare development in developing economies, especially in light of geopolitical frictions.  He has published widely in top journals on supply chain management and was formerly the Editor-in-Chief of Management Science.  He was inducted to the US National Academy of Engineering, and elected a Fellow of MSOM, POMS, and INFORMS.  

Professor Lee had degrees from the University of Hong Kong, the London School of Economics, and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  He has been awarded Honorary Doctorates by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, the London Business School and the University of Macau.

Professor Li’s research focuses on retail operations, revenue management in hospitality industry, supply chain management, and business analytics. In recent years, he has worked with global manufacturers, online retailers, startups, auction houses, social media companies, and logistics providers and hospitals on their operations problems. He has published his research in journals such as Operations Research, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, Operations Research Letters, Naval Research Logistics, Production and Operations Management, IIE Transactions, and Management and Business Review, and has served as an Associate Editor for several journals above. His writing has also appeared in non-academic outlets such as Hong Kong Economic Journal (香港信报), The Paper (澎湃), and The Southern Metropolis Weekly (南都周刊).   
 
At HKUST Business School, Professor Li teaches courses related to operations management, project Management, supply chain management and business analytics at different levels. He has been nominated for the Franklin Teaching Award at the Business School. He received his degrees from the University of British Columbia, Fudan University and Tsinghua University. 

She worked as a research fellow in Planning Research Institute, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (previously, Ministry of Information Industry) of China between 2003 and 2005. She has participated in a series of China’s national research projects. She was one of the main framers and revisers of several China’s national industrial policies (digital TV, integrated circuits, software, etc.), and major policies regarding FDI, exporting, industrial agglomeration and economic development zones for Chinese government. During her PhD study, she joined several research projects sponsored by a national think-tanker, the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI, Canada). She holds a BA (2001) and an MA (2003) in Economics from Peking University (P.R. China) and a PhD (2010) in Economics from University of Western Ontario (UWO, Canada). She received a First-Prize National Award for Research Excellence issued by Ministry of Commerce of China in 2004 and the TM Brown Thesis Prize for best doctoral dissertation in Economics at UWO in 2010.

He is also the Director of the HKUST Institute for Financial Research, Associate Dean of the HKUST Business School, and the Academic Director of the HKUST-Tsinghua DBA program. Prior to joining HKUST, he was a tenured Professor of Finance at the London School of Economics. 

Professor Lou is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research, a Senior Fellow at the Asian Bureau of Finance and Economic Research, and an Academic Consultant and Visitor to the Bank of England. He is a recipient of the Distinguished Young Scholars (DYS) Scheme of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He currently serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and Management Science.

Professor Lou frequently advises government and international organizations, and consults for investment management companies. His research has been published in top academic journals, has won many awards, and is frequently profiled in financial media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Forbes, and Bloomberg. His main research areas include asset pricing, investment management, financial technology, behavioral finance, and the Chinese financial markets. Professor Lou received a PhD in Finance from Yale University and an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Columbia University. 

His work has been recognized by world leading journals such as Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Mathematics of Operations Research. He is recipient of Finalist of INFORMS George Nicholson Student Paper Competition and Second place of POMS College of Supply Chain Management Student Paper Competition . 

Prior to joining HKUST Business School, Professor Lu took senior leadship in three sectors: finance, e-commerce, and online display advertising. Professor Lu was Founder and CIO at UniQuant Capital, where he lead quantitative research team and manage 3 billions quantitative long-short hedge funds; Executive Director at China Innovation Fund leading PE/VC investment in TMT area with 150 billions AUM; Vice President at Goldman Sachs Asset Management leading quantitative factor portfolio research and management with 15 billions USD AUM; Senior Research Scientist at Knight Capital Group on high frequency trading, at Amazon.com on e-commerce and logistic optimization, at AppNexus.com on online display advertising market. 

DSI is a public-private partnership backed by ICC, the Singapore government, Asian Development Bank, World Trade Organization and World Customs Organization.  It advances the digitalisation of global trade by harmonising supply chain standards and building digital readiness across the global trade ecosystem. 
  
Ms Mar is also a Senior Fellow of the Asia Global Institute and joined the Board of the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) in July 2025. 
  
She was previously Executive Vice President – Knowledge and Applications at the Fung Group. She brings over 20 years of experience across global supply chains, focusing on sustainability, technology and policy, with roles in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Geneva.  
  
Ms Mar was named in the Eco-Business Sustainability A-List in 2019 and has published and spoken widely on corporate sustainability and supply-chains. 

He received his PhD in Operations Management from the Decision, Risk, and Operations Division at Columbia Business School, and Bachelor in Physics from Peking University. He combines modeling and empirical methods in his research, with topics including financial economics, healthcare operations management, finance-operations management interface, and platform operations. His research papers have been published on prestigious journals like Management Science, Operations Research, Productions & Operations Management, and Journal of Financial Markets. He is the Primary Investigator for several research grants supported by the Research Grants Council in Hong Kong.

Her research interests include global supply chain management, risk management, and the interfaces between operations and other disciplines. She has published in Management Science, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, Decision Sciences, Energy Economics, Naval Research Logistics, European Journal of Operational Research, etc. She serves as an Associate Editor at Management Science and Naval Research Logistics, a Senior Editor at Production and Operations Management, and a Department Editor at Journal of Management Sciences in China. She is a principal investigator of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and the Major Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China. She consults for State Grid, Huawei, ZTE, SAIC MAXUS, etc.

He is also the Director of the Center for Business and Social Analytics (CBSA). 

He is currently an Associate Editor for Information Systems Research (ISR), an Associate Editor for INFORMS Journal on Computing, and an Associate Editor for the MIS Quarterly (MISQ) Special Issue on “The Institutional Press in the Digital Age” and Special Issue on “Ethics, Regulation, and Policy”. He is also a Senior Area Chair for the ACL Rolling Review (ARR). 

His research interests are natural language processing (NLP), large language model (LLM), machine learning, statistical inference, and their applications in finance and business. 

He obtained a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at Northwestern University in 2015, and a bachelor’s degree from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2009.
